What Can Be Restored?

Life with a full denture means more than just missing your teeth. Problems associated with a denture extend far beyond tooth loss, affecting comfort, ability to chew foods, even self-image and social considerations.

The challenge is to provide stable function, without using denture adhesives, that will fulfill your expectations for appearance, confidence and security.

Complete Lower Replacements

Appearance

The ideal replacement must look as if you have your natural teeth, especially while you eat or talk with other people.

Confidence

The ideal replacement for your missing teeth must also feel like natural teeth and be easy to keep clean. It is important for you to know your teeth are stable while eating, allow you to speak properly and eliminate the bulkiness and sore gums sometimes associated with dentures.

Security

The long term safety of this solution is well established and published in recognized scientific journals. We would be glad to discuss with you how these treatment results apply to you.

A Bit Of History

For many of us, implant treatment for missing teeth is a new concept, something we never imagined possible. In an age of medical breakthroughs and longer, healthier living, it shouldn’t be surprising that lost teeth no longer mean dentures floating in a glass.

In the early 1950’s, Swedish scientist Per-Ingvar Brånemark observed that titanium could bond with bone. He termed this process osseointegration. Systems were then developed using pure titanium implants for tooth replacement and other medical applications. The long term success of Brånemark System® has been so high that the question is not “does it work?”, but rather, “what else can it be used for?”.

Professor Brånemark’s first dental implants were placed three decades ago, and today still function perfectly for his first patient. Since then, over 200,000 patients around the world have been treated using Brånemark System® for tooth replacement. What began as a treatment for people with no teeth and little hope of normal function, has now developed to benefit those in need of partial replacements.

Still, the dramatic results offered with full arch replacements make them the unquestioned hallmark of the Brånemark System® for tooth replacement. As the company behind the Brånemark System® for tooth replacement, Nobel Biocare takes its position as the world leader in dental implants very seriously. By continuing with decades of clinical studies and global research, Nobel Biocare confidently offers the most predictable, proven results possible.

The hope of restoring something that has been lost, especially in the human body, is no longer possibility – it is a reality!

Non-Removable Options

Step 1

The first step is the placement of the titanium implants. The implants will remain covered underneath the gum for approximately 3-6 months. During this time, osseointegration should take place.

Step 2

The second step of the procedure involves uncovering the implants and attaching extensions. This completes the foundation on which your new teeth will be placed.

Step 3

The final step is the placement of your new teeth. With techniques that ensure optimal size, shape, colour and fit, they will blend with your facial characteristics, while providing support needed for a natural appearance.
